Do I need to remove stickers or food contamination before “feeding” soft plastic to SPC?Updated a month ago

For SPC functioning you don't have to remove paper stickers and don't have to wash food. However, it can depend on the recycling method available in the region - mechanical or more advanced. So, our recommendation would be - if it's not a problem for you, better clean it and separate, if you don't feel comfortable with it - just feed SPC with what you have and recycling will deal with it (they wash plastic anyway).

Some food contamination is not an issue, except that it could create odor in the storage and/or heating process. Better to clean off plastic before inserting. Also, if a large amount of food is left on plastic regularly, it could accumulate on the rollers and in the storage area. This might require cleaning between bricks.
