How safe is to use SPC at home?Updated 5 hours ago

SPC doesn’t melt or burn plastic at all. It uses a very low heat (under 300°F / ~150°C) to gently soften the surface of soft plastics so they stick together into a clean, compact block. The plastic itself doesn’t change — it’s just packed tightly, which makes it way easier for recyclers to handle. The SPC has been thoroughly tested for indoor air safety and VOCs, and all tests confirmed that it’s completely safe to use at home. It doesn’t release any fumes or harmful chemicals — the air inside and outside the device stays clean and well below the Maximum Allowable Concentration for any emissions.
Fumes and chemicals are released at significantly higher temperatures than SPC never reaches, e.g., 750-1110 °F / ~400-600 °C.
